Merit Badge Day -- Saturday 1/26/2013. The Arapaho Chapter is sponsoring several merit badges classes. A few spaces are still available for the following merit badges; Indian Lore, Weather, Salesmanship, Photography, Surveying, First Aid, Home Repair and Citizenship in the Nation. Scouting for Food Signup / Bag Pickup -- The Scouting for Food bags have arrived. The bags can be picked up between 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Town North Presbyterian Church (1776 N. Plano Road, Richardson, Texas) on Monday, 1/21 and 2/4. Otherwise, contact Dan Bruce at dbruce@sb-texas.com to arrange for a pickup of the bags. There are a few areas that have not been claimed. Please consider participating or taking an additional area, if possible. Contact Dan Bruce if you need to pickup your bags. The bags will be distributed on February, 2/9/13 and the food picked up on 2/16/13. If you have questions, please contact Dan Bruce at dbruce@sb-texas.com. The local food banks depend on the scouts to restock their shelves. More information.

Friends of Scouting Presentations -- Unit leaders, please take a moment and schedule a time for your unit's FOS presentation. On-line form. This will help tremendously in the process of scheduling volunteer FOS presenters. A court of honor or a Blue and Gold banquet is a good time.

Public Awareness -- Northern Trail District's Marketing & Public Awareness Chair is Marjie Price. Her role is to help promote the District within the community. If you have stories about your unit's activities, such as service projects, Eagle projects, and other scout successes, she wants to help you get these items featured in the local media.
