Northern Trail District Awards Dinner

The dinner is this coming Thursday evening. Online ticket sales will end 11:59PM Monday evening. Purchase Tickets online today. A limited number of at the door tickets may be available. The event will be held this coming Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Royal Oaks Country Club, 7915 Greenville Ave, Dallas. Check in 6:30 Dinner at 7PM. New District Executive

We are pleased to announce the hiring of a new District Executive. Jorge "George" Salazar grew up in Circle Ten, reached the rank of Eagle Scout and served as the Mikanakawa Lodge Chief in 2015. He is an A&M graduate. More information and a photo.

Friends of Scouting (FOS)

Unit Leaders, please schedule a FOS presentation at your next court of honor or Blue and Gold. A volunteer will come and make a short presentation. Contact Marie. Baert

Scouting For Food 2019

Plan to participate in this vital annual activity. Scouting for food is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate scouting values. Saturday February 16th, 2019 put out bags, pickup food Saturday February 23, 2019. Please select your areas and plan to participate and let’s make this the biggest SFF haul ever! Bags are now available for pickup. Please take only what you need. Each full box contains 1000 bags.

If your unit has not signed to participate, ask why not! There many areas which are not covered and this represents food that can be collected. The public is willing to give, our job is to distribute and collect the bags. More information and area maps.

February Roundtable Canceled

Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Venturing Round Table has been canceled for February 14. Due to trouble finding space for another evening, there will be no round table until March.

Scout Sunday Patches

Hank Voegtle still has more than 80 Scout Sunday 2019 patches available on a first come, first served basis. These patches are issued annually by the National Association of United Methodist Scouters and the 2019 issue reflects the recent changes to the program. Circle Ten Council Annual Recognition Banquet – March 28, 2019

Congratulations to all the Northern Trail Scouts who earned their Eagle Scout rank in 2018! What a wonderful accomplishment! Parents, are you aware that Circle Ten Council honors all the previous year's Eagle Scouts at the annual banquet, and that their attendance is complimentary, for them and their Scout Master? When they receive their invitation in the mail, please RSVP and make plans to attend. They will be recognized with the whole Bobby Lyle 2018 Class of Eagles, as well as be included in the group photo that will hang in the Murchison Scouting Center and receive a special commemorative Council Strip Patch. Eagles must attend to receive the patch.

In addition, 24 deserving Scouters will be recognized with the Silver Beaver Award, as well as many other deserving Scouts and Scouters for their efforts and dedication. Please join us as we celebrate the accomplishments of our Council! Tickets now available on CampMaster. More information.

Twilight Camp

Twilight camp is one of the highlights of a Cub Scout’s year. This year Cub Scout membership has increased and the need for staff will be much greater. This is your opportunity help us build the staff for Twilight Camp. As an adult leader you’ve probably had a chance to work with someone you think would be a great staff member. Wood Badge

Wilderness First Aid classes for 2019


This is the 16 hour ECSI course designed by Philmont and meets the requirements for the BSA High Adventure Bases.

Range Safety Officer Certification

If you are interested in becoming an NRA Certified Instructor or Range Safety Officer to run shooting sports, the council holds instructor courses on a regular basis. More information:
