Northern Trail District

Overdue Re-Charters

We still have several units which have not completed their re-charters. This is a serious problem. Your scouts cannot advance or use the council facilities. Our District Executive will be available to assist with unit re-charters and youth/adult applications. If you need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to him.

Camp Card Sales

Time is running out to get signed up for Camp Cards. Camp card are very easy to sell and a scout can easily earn his way to camp. However you can't sell the cards if you don't sign up in advance.

New to Camp Cards or not sure how to discuss this risk free fundraiser to your scouts and parents, then please contact Deborah DiStasi, 469-235-2920, ddistasi@dcccd.edu for assistance.

Our kickoff meeting is Thursday, Feb. 9th, 7 pm, at Lake Highlands Presbyterian Church, Shelton Meeting Room, 8525 Audelia Road in Dallas. Please order your cards by January 31st.

Friends of Scouting

Every unit should have a FOS presentation scheduled for an upcoming Blue and Gold or Court of Honor.

Our scouting program is funded with a number of sources and a major portion comes from you. Without your support the program cannot function!

We need to get units scheduled for presentations and we still need a few presenters.

Contact our Our district executive, Chad Caudle to schedule your presentation. Chad may be reached at: 214-902-6743 | C 806-548-0575 chad.caudle@scouting.org.

Wood Badge Reunion Saturday February 4, 2017 5:30PM, Camp Wisdom

Scouting for Food Saturday February 4 & 11, 2017

The Scouting for Food bags are now available, Pick them up on the porch at 926 Wedgewood Way in Richardson. Please take only what you expect to use! We have enough bags, but only if they are distributed properly. Last year we ran out of bags before all units got them. Informational handouts to go with the bags are also available.

Distribute the bags in your assigned areas on Saturday February 4th and pick them up on Saturday February 11th.

Scouting for food is a great opportunity to demonstrate some of the values of the scout program. Food pantries in the area depend of the scouts to help restock their shelves after the holidays. Keep in mind that we have more areas to cover than we have scouts, so without your participation, available food won't be collected. Get signed up and put it on your unit calendar. More information and area maps here. Questions to Hunter Miller hmiller002.tx@gmail.com.
