Come Make A Difference – Attend District Fireside

If you attended the District Camporee a couple of weekends ago, you had a great time! Scouts, venturers and scouters from all over the district were at Camp TRJ for fun and competition. The youth divided into patrols like at Oak Leaf and NYLT so that they experienced how new teams bond together when they are not from the same unit. They also learned what is going on in other units than their home unit. SMs and ASMs enjoyed watching their youth perform in a different environment from their units. While we have camporee every Spring, we do it a little different each year in order to bring in new ideas and new opportunities to meet people. Read more.

District Help Needed

As Chuck Holden pointed out in last week's blog, volunteer labor is essential to the success of many critical programs in our community. Northern Trail is no different.

Right now we are in a severe bind in Northern Trail because the annual Popcorn campaign has begun and we do not have a district chair for this position. Without someone in this position, we will be unable to properly promote and organize this activity with the resources currently available.

We are also in need of help with membership retention and promotion. Read more
