Youth Protection Training is Required

Face to Face YPT in May at First United Methodist Church. All leaders are required to have Youth Protection Training. Immediately following the Face to Face training you will have the opportunity to receive walking den leader training. The on-line version of youth protection training is available at myscouting.org, but the Face to Face version is required for Adult leaders at Twilight and Overnight Camps.

Participate in Emergency Preparedness Drill, May 30th

Dallas County Public Health Emergency Preparedness Division needs up to 18 Boy Scouts, age 16 and above, to participate in a two-hour drill as mock “patients.” Complete one of the requirements for Emergency Preparedness Merit Badge. Continue reading

1st Annual Outdoor Adventure September 12, 2015

Kick off your Fall membership drive by participating in the Outdoor Adventure, the first family-oriented community event sponsored by the Boys Scouts of America and Girl Scouts. Our Scouts will be providing fun interactive games and activities, such as rain gutter regattas, rope bridges, and dutch oven cooking. We will also have a hot air balloon and car show. Help us introduce scouting to our community by registering your unit to provide an activity. We need scout units to step up, sponsor and staff the various events. Continue reading

What is the Xperience? It's going to be the biggest Circle Ten Council event in our 100-year history. Scouting is a community, and this event will gather our Circle Ten Scouting family in one places, for one weekend. We want EVERYONE to be a part of this: to XPERIENCE the energy, the synergy. Mountaineer Weekends at the Summit

Mountaineer Weekends are the perfect way to get a feel for The Summit in a short period of time, whether passing through or just making a weekend of it.

Get a taste of the adventure and action sports opportunities available at the BSA’s newest national base — The Summit Bechtel Reserve — located in Southern West Virginia. The Mountaineer Weekend program gives you access to all venues in the Scott Summit Center. Trainer’s EDGE is the required train-the-trainer course for Wood Badge and NYLT staffs. The purpose of the Trainer’s EDGE course is to provide and help develop the platform skills of a trainer.
