Adult Recognition

On January 23 at the District Awards Banquet, we will recognize volunteers who have made the extra effort to make scouting possible in our units and the district. Your assistance is needed to nominate these individuals for recognition. Please take the time to nominate someone from your unit.
Every unit should have nominees for a Y.E.S. award. Being recognized for one's efforts is appreciated and volunteers are more likely to continue to contribute if they feel their efforts are making a difference.  Then plan to come to the dinner and help us recognize their contributions.

The District Awards of Merit and the Robert E. Little Award recognize district level volunteers who make a profound impact on the program delivered at the district level.

More information and nomination forms may be found here. Questions to: Dr. Harry Yankuner HY18@sbcglobal.net

Re-charter Time

It is recharter time for every unit in Northern Trail District because every unit’s charter expires on December 31. Once a unit’s charter expires, the unit loses BSA insurance coverage and scouts’ advancement cannot submitted, among other things.

So how does a unit recharter? First, this is something that needs one person to oversee the process. Next, using the code and link that was sent to your unit log into the website, register and proceed to review your unit roster for both youth and adults. More information and forms.

Registration Fee Assistance

The council has come up with a plan to help families with the fee increase. more information may be found here.
