Action Needed

Re-Charter Time Don't get Dropped!

You only have until Thursday of this week to get your Re-charter in to the council office. The council offices are closed Friday for the New Years Day holiday. Miss the deadline your unit will be dropped from the rolls. You will have to start from scratch and to get re-instated is more work. Act now to avoid additional work.

Help is available! Your unit commissioner is standing by to answer any questions you may have. If you don't know who your unit commissioner is, consult the website To help you with this process we have prepared a checklist which includes all the steps required.

We know that everyone is busy, the the task of funding the scouting program in Circle Ten is critical. Please take a moment schedule a time for a presenter to come to your Court of Honor or Blue and Gold Banquet and make a short presentation about Friends of Scouting. Special Joint January Roundtable 1/14/2016

The January 14th Cub Scout and Boy Scout roundtables will be combined with a special program which we are sure will be of interest to our scout units.

David Dodgen, Cub Master Pack 895, will give a presentation on an event he organizes each year which includes members of his pack and several scout troops. This event is designed to help build excitement within the Cub Scouts about Boy Scouts and give the older boys a chance to sell the program to the Cub Scouts. Continue reading

Arapaho Chapter will host a program day on Saturday January 16th at FUMC of Richardson. Merit badge classes and some adult training will be offered. A list of offerings will be posted soon.

The University of Scouting is an adult leader's learning adventure! It is an action-packed, fun-filled single day of supplemental training where you choose the sessions you wish to take. Sessions are led by experienced volunteers and professionals who will help you enhance your ability to deliver a fun and exciting program to the Scouts. Winter Wood Badge

It will soon be time for Circle 10's Winter Wood Badge ... WB 116 at Camp Wisdom. Better get your position specific training down quickly, and then register for WB 116 while you still can.

Back Country Advanced Training

Interested in learning more about Backpacking and getting a crew ready for Philmont or just leaving the gear trailer behind. Backcountry Advanced Training is designed to run scouts & scouters through a set of sessions that will give them the basics for attending Philmont. Classroom sessions begin Wednesday Feb. 10. Scouting for Food Saturday, February 13, 2016

Gluten-free Camp Cooking Book

Robert Pitt, one of our Scouters, has written a camping cookbook for scouts and adults who need to avoid gluten while camping. Check out this helpful resource here. For future reference this document may be found under "Forms and information" on the menu.

Arrow of Light Tribute Arrows

Arrow of Light Tribute Arrows are available from Northern Trail’s Order of the Arrow Chapter. They are 100% handmade using agate arrowheads and real turkey feathers by Arapaho Chapter members.
All proceeds are used for OA projects. $15 each,

NASCAR Tickets Available - $10 tickets to 2016 NASCAR races

Texas Motor Speedway was excited to have the Circle Ten Scouts out for CTX 2015 in November. As an added benefit for being a participant, Texas Motor Speedway is offering all Scouts and their families an opportunity to attend one of their 2016 race events for just $10. That is a huge discount only available to the Scouts of Circle Ten.

National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT)

National Youth Leadership Training is an intense, 5 ½ day, outdoor leadership training experience for youth troop, team and crew leaders.
