Coming Activities

Northern Trail to Adventure, Saturday, 10/5/2013

Our first big event of the year is Northern Trail to Adventure (NT2A), which takes place at Camp Wisdom. Packs are invited to spend the night in the camp area. Archery, BB guns, Caves, Rope Bridge, Sir Dee Castle, Trading Post, Pirate Ships, Campfire, and much more. Use this event as a recruiting tool at your "School Night for Scouting." This is an excellent opportunity to showcase Cub Scouting to your new recruits. Check out pictures from last year.

Webelos Woods 10/25-27/2013

Webelos Woods is an opportunity for Webelos Scouts to experence a weekend campout. Webelos units will be paired with a scout troop who will assist them during the events. More information

School Night for Scouting

This is your best opportunity to grow your unit. When you grow your unit, you also get new parents who will bring energy, ideas, help and enthusiasm to your unit. It's a lot more fun when you share the load with others. Help, materials, advice and more available.

Face to Face Youth Protection Training 9/28/2013

Face to Face youth protection training is required for adults attending activities like winter camp, twilight camp and summer camp. This training is the same for both the Boy Scout and Cub Scout Program. It's being offered the same day and location as the Boy Scout Specific Training.

Venture Leader Specific Training Saturday 10/12/13

Following Leader Specific Training a Face-to-Face Youth Protection class will be offered. Please bring $5 for lunch. For more information please contact Robert Squyres;

Boy Scout Leader Specific Training, Begins Wednesday October 16th at 7:00PM

Three evening intensive training course on how a scout troop operates. Learn by doing, every element of troop operation is covered and when you have completed the course you will understand how the program works and how to facilitate a successful program in your unit. For both unit leaders and parents. Please register in a advance.

Boy Scout Outdoor Leader Specific Training, Weekend November 8-10th

Weekend scout camping activity. Participate in an actual campout and learn by doing. You will be part of a patrol going camping. When you have completed this training you will understand the details of a scout campout. Advance registration and preparation required.

Oak Leaf Training, November 9-10th

Oak Leaf is a junior leader training for scouts 1st class and above. The is course designed to supplement Troop level training and prepare Scouts for NYLT (National Youth Leadership Training). Advance registration and scoutmaster approval required.

University of Scouting Saturday January 4, 2014

The University of Scouting is a Scout leader’s learning adventure! It is an action-packed, fun-filled single day of supplemental training where you choose the sessions you wish to take. Save the date: Saturday, 2014, January 4 - 8:00am to 5:00pm More information

Big D Fleur-De-Lis Sign-ups available!

Join us as we qualify for the Guinness Book of World records by building the world’s largest Fleur-De-Lis out of crushed aluminum cans. This event not only celebrates the Centennial of the Circle Ten Council but will also qualify your unit for a Messengers of Peace project. Each of your Scouts and registered volunteer Scouters will receive the Messengers of Peace ring patch to wear on their uniform.
